Taken on a freezing spring night in the Peruvian Andes at 5000m above sea level. The result is a composite of two images, the dramatic Andean foreground and the milky way shot combining 1 hour worth of images, from the fiery region of Cygnus to the Great Rift of the milky way setting to the north west.
(I used the northern hemisphere orientation for the milky way as I found it was more pleasing for this image)
