Not far from Machu Picchu on the Salkantay trek in the Peruvian Andes, lies a beautiful blue green lake high above the valley below. This was my second time hiking at high altitude and it doesn't get any easier. But the results were worth the struggle, the weather saved its pleasant side for when I arrived at the peak and I took advantage.
