Viscachas are among the lesser known inhabitants of the Andes. They look like huge rabbits, with long whiskers and fluffy fur, they spend their time among rocky slopes and boulder fields at high altitude.
Perfectly adapted to their environment, their grey brown coats provide excellent camouflage against the surrounding rocks.
